BUSY COUPLE OF WEEKS!

What with the Kids’ Night last Wednesday, a Youth Corp that was very successful but somewhat depleted the ranks on Saturday and Sunday, and preparations for Harvest Fest already started, it has been a VERY eventful couple of weeks.

BUT we had a great time both last Sunday, Wednesday night and this last Sunday.  At the end of the service, we had a lot of kids in the altars praying after the Kids service and THAT is what is was really all about.  We hope they had such a great time that they bring their friends and family.

As mentioned previously, we had a lot of people out of town for the Youth Corp trip to Arizona but we still pulled it off somehow, even if we had to recruit creatively from available volunteers (thank you Bro Sam Christian for being willing and able).

Here are the attendance numbers for the last Sunday although I wasn’t given exact totals for some of the stops and had to divide the route totals a bit randomly:

What a great day we had on Sunday!

We had a total of 80 kids on the buses but we had some landmark numbers on a couple of the routes. If this trend continues over the next couple of weeks we should be breaking one hundred by September. If we keep the heat on by the end of the year we should be approaching that lofty 150 number. WE CAN DO IT!

Green route had one of the larger numbers they’ve had in quite a while with a whopping 20 and blue route nearly equaled them with an incredible 17 which brought their bus to a total of 37! The rest of the routes looked solid as well and I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen on Sunday.

We are going to be serving hot breakfasts to all of the bus kids starting this coming Sunday morning and we can't wait to see how that works out!

Great day at Inland Lighthouse!

August 9th, 2015 Recap

The numbers are coming back up!

Sunday was a great day at Inland Lighthouse Church!  With the increased attendance on the buses the class room numbers are starting to swell and with it came an energy and excitement. God came down in the main church also and there were MANY people filled with the Holy Ghost!  It was incredible to see both visitors and backsliders alike speaking in tongues at the altar.  IT WAS A GREAT DAY!

We are starting something exciting on August 23rd!  We are going to begin serving a hot breakfast to the bus kids EVERY Sunday morning.  It won't necessarily be fancy but it will be filling and we won't have let anyone leave hungry again.  Thank you to everyone that has agreed to help make this a reality!

Congratulations are in order for the yellow route.  They started a new pickup at the Date Street apartments and this week they picked up 6 kids which is great for such a new stop! They also increased Village Green to 9 kids which is the most we have ever had from there. Also, the orange route picked up a new high at Eucalyptus which gave them a total of 14 kids. Good work EVERYONE!  We are excited at the direction things are going!  The numbers on ALL of the routes are beginning to come back so let's take advantage of the momentum and see how packed we can get the buses in the next few months.  Let's hit 150 kids by the end of the year!
